By-pass, before construction started
Site of the Harden Park (northern) end of the Alderley Edge by-pass in September 2008, before construction began. The field behind the bicycle was adjacent to the A34 'Wilmslow bypass' roundabout and has now disappeared under the new road. The footpath indicated by the sign and the stile (Wilmslow FP44) which ran across the field has been diverted and now commences to the right of the picture, to run north of the new road for a short distance before rejoining its original alignment across Alderley Edge golf course, emerging on Brook Lane, Alderley Edge.
